Algal Bio, a leading Japanese micro-algae start-up, provides the world’s first “algae bio-foundry platform” with an intensive algae strain library multiplied with diverse screening and cultivating technologies for applying algae in all industries and applications. We believe that our technologies could be a potential solution for health, food and environment industries. With the funds raised this time, we will not only consolidate our algae bio-foundry platform, but also expedite the commercialization of algae-derived products and solutions together with our partner companies, and accelerate overseas expansion.

2021/10/04Press Release: For the people to feel closer to algae and be involved in its use for the society, we have renewed our corporate logo with the image of “Algae” x “Earth”. The overall shape represents algae and the Earth by the colors of water (blue), light (yellow) and earth (green). These three colors or parts form a circle that represents one of our major corporate goals which is to achieve a sustainable “circular society”.
