Algal Bio is proud to announce that we have successfully raised 590 Million JPY (ca 4.3 Million USD) in our 1st Closing of Series B financing round. Algal Bio, a leading Japanese micro-algae start-up, provides the world’s first “algae bio-foundry platform” with an intensive algae strain library multiplied with diverse screening and cultivating technologies for applying algae in all industries and applications. We believe that our technologies could be a potential solution for health, food and environment industries. With the funds raised this time, we will not only consolidate our algae bio-foundry platform, but also expedite the commercialization of algae-derived products and solutions together with our partner companies, and accelerate overseas expansion.

The title of the seminar will be “The Founder of Algal Bio Co., Ltd., which has taken over the University of Tokyo’s algae research assets for more than 20 years, will talk about the current status and future prospects for the social implementation of “algae”.
